At this point they are probably along for the ride since most people don't really care about the non-revenue sports. Also, the schools probably consider them to be acceptable collateral damage since football is driving this bus. Plus, there may be enough school who sees creating a semi-pro or minor league as being the end goal. If football ends up being treating separately from the other sports, then the schools could sit down to decide how to handle the non-revenue sports which may or may not include basketball.
